Galaxy Valkyries is a 2d top down arcade style space shooter that combines fast-paced combat with tactical command over a fleet of autonomous drones.
The player takes control of a highly advanced ship –The Valkyrie, with the unique ability to transform from the smallest fighter to the biggest capital ship and back again, at the press of a button. This mechanic is brought to life through the drone support system, a fleet of unmanned autonomous ships controlled by the player‟s ship.
Through the progression of the game, the player will find and collect ally drones scattered along the galaxy levels, adding them to their fleet to increase their power and capabilities. Acting almost completely autonomously, the drones provide additional offence and defense capabilities, but their true power comes when they are utilized to augment the player‟s primary ship.
